There were times when Draco was quite good at hiding his expression, his feelings. This wasn't one of them. He was in pain in more than one way, he felt lonely sitting next to his boyfriend: his face showed everything he was feeling, right there in the unhappy, wavering downward curl of his mouth and the faint shining of his eyes.
"That doesn't even make sense," he pointed out in a miserable mumble, the snappishness leaving him. "You can't find me when I deem you acceptable because you won't be around to know when I deem you acceptable. Also, that's a stupid phrase." He opened his mouth to continue but paused, the words faltering and failing him; everything he thought of sounded stupid in return: You're always acceptable. Or some variant thereof.
He closed his mouth again, sighing softly out of his nose, simply continuing to regard Tsukikage with that sad face.
