Is he internally screaming right now? Absolutely. No one has ever been remotely this forward with him, if that's how he should be reading into this, and he's still unsure if things work the same here as they do at home. Which, to his point, he's used to people being arrested or killed for any of this sort of thing. He'll figure it out, eventually.
