It's very possible, both figuratively and literally.

Of course he would be getting excited over that of all things. A traveler through and through. But the bouquets thing is almost fascinating to him in a way, as well. "Are they familiar flowers or something that only grows in this place?"

"I'm sure I could figure coffee out if I see the equipment." Because it's a travesty that he hasn't figured it out for himself. Coffee's rather lovely if done right, he's learned through his time.
