You're in need of doing some background checks? Some investigative work?

Yeah. It's going to happen frequently, I'm afraid. It'd be nice if I had a reliable source for the long-run. Someone I can trust.

I'd like to have some more information before I commit to anything.

But I am intrigued. And I do hope I am at least able to be considered as a person you trust.

Do you know the purpose of priests? Are they likely to be conduits? Can we get more followers to give themselves up if we trap one?

According to my master, it is a name for someone who has proven their loyalty time and time again for their god. From what I've gathered, they have no real purpose or authority. It is more a title and showing that this person has a god's favour.

If the gods are smart and know strategy, they would not put them as conduits. Although they have more powers than most and are more difficult to kill, placing them as conduits when they are known members makes them very vulnerable. The names of all three priests for both fog and fourth are known to everyone. Likely they're scapegoats letting the real culprits go unseen.

Though that's just a theory.

When death is considered trivial by the general public, there's no reason for a conduit to give themselves up. Someone with this sort of warping power would be loyal to the god, and not likely give up the game. You may get their friends stepping in, but honestly, I doubt it.

That serial killer's trying to set her up. Send people after her claiming she's a conduit of the Fourth. I feel like he's lying, I just can't see it.

The serial killer? The one that got in trouble regarding Susan on the network a while back?

That's the one. I believe she is, but confirmarion would be good. I mostly want to warn her, he's probably sent others after her. I feel like he has some personal motivation for pinning it on her, maybe she knows soemthing...

I've attached her address to this reply. Unfortunately I don't know her number. I'll ask the rest of my housemates and see if they know.

[And true to his word, after making sure the boys would be settled, the arachne makes use of his speed and sprints over to Rin's house. He's knocking on the door within nine and a half minutes.]

[ Rin still looks uneasy, as he answers the door, allowing the arachne to enter. It's not like there's any easy way to explain to someone that their daughter is out of control and needs serious discipline. ]

I didn't think you meant that literally.

I try make an effort to address important issues as soon as possible. Anything regarding Reira-dono is an important issue.

[He bows his head and he enters Rin's household.]

[ Rin steps aside once they're indoors so that Tsukikage can have more room for his large body. ]

Reira told me about the park, about how she was responsible for it. She was very insistent on that point.

[ As in, she refused to hold Elias the least bit accountable and Rin sure sounds pissed about that. ]

How she was responsible for it? Well I'm glad she's not trying to avoid the blame, at very least.

[He says that plainly, but it's evident he looks a bit aspirated himself.] ... I understand her reasons for doing it, but still. It's not all her fault.

Because she chose the location. She's convinced that if she chose someplace else, it wouldn't have been so bad. He's got her completely twisted into thinking that corrupting itself would have been all right because it helps him. She thinks he's her friend.

[ Even more than him. Which does hurt, given what Elias has done to his friends. ]

I don't think it's entirely her fault either. But her alliance with him has become dangerous. For her as well. She could have been killed while she was acting as his damned conduit. And the only thing he would have cared about is that one of his sanctums was destroyed.

[Tsukikage pauses, listening to what Rin has to say thoughtfully. There's a long period of silence from him as he gathers his thoughts and he nods in agreement. He knows about how Reira thinks the Fourth is her friend, but it's incredibly problematic that she thinks the action was alright in the long run.] Did anyone tell you what the Fourth Followers gained from that stunt?

[Dangerous... Tsukikage certainly couldn't protest. He gives a long sigh and rubbed his temples.] She never told me upfront, but I figured it out in the last week of the whole ordeal. We knew for some time Ron was acting in the Fourth's name, but not her. I did have measures set up to protect them, [he bought a gun too.] but I'm surprised no one ended up firebombing our house again.

... Reira-dono is stubborn. I'm not sure how we can make her see reason. I've explained to her the risks before, but she values the Fourth a lot. I suppose some of it stems from the things he has done for her over the years.

[ Rin's gaze remains hard. ]

Something about taking away their hunger. It doesn't mean they won't starve if they don't eat though so it's ultimately pointless.

[ At the mention of Tsukikage's other ward, Rin's expression turns livid and he rounds on Tsukikage, grabbing at his front for whatever he can snatch. ]

Ron? Ron was a conduit too? You knew about this? Why the hell didn't you say anything?

[ Did Tsukikage seriously not trust him? Did he seriously think he'd attack children to save his precious park? ]
