Reira rolls in his bed and finds himself staring toward where the shade floats, Tsukikage's blank, white glowing eyes staring back. It feels as if the ninja never blinks now. Never sleeps, even, he finds himself thinking. He wonders for a moment if he even does, but all the thought leads to is...

...Is something else. ...Tsukikage watches him because of his brother's order after all.

But now, his brother is ash.

As he stares in silence, he thus wonders... ....

Does that mean Tsukikage has to watch him forever?

[Tsukikage occasionally looks outside into the apartments next door, looking for any danger. He knows that Reira and Kurt have been alright all this time, but he still can't help but feel worried. After all, new arrivals appear every so often, and the peninsula is unpredictable, so he knows he has to be vigilant in case something suddenly came flying through the door.

He looks back, of course, because not looking behind you is outright stupid, and looks at his charge. He doesn't mean to disturb him as he does, but making sure that the boy alright makes watching Reira with distracting, luminous eyes is a necessary evil.

He waits for a long moment before he realises that Reira is staring and indeed not trying to sleep anymore. At that, ge gives a small nod and bow towards his charge.]

Is everything alright, Reira-dono? I can turn around if you so choose.

[Shades are pretty unnerving, apparently.]

[Something was wrong. Normally, he'd be home by now-Kurt, that was. He'd be making dinner, or perhaps working through the laundry...

Sometimes Tsukikage did that. The ninja was rather particular about things lately, so it stood to reason that his laundry was one of those things. But this wasn't like that.

Kurt's device was gone. His things were there but the device was gone, and when he checked for his name on his own device...

When Tsukikage returns from his own job, at the labs' night shift, he'll be in for an unusual sight. Reira sits on the couch, clutching not his first teddybear, but the one he received long ago while staying at the castle-the one Kurt gave him, the 'Blue Bear'.

...And if one looks with a trained eye, it appears as if the boy has been crying.]

[The night shift was pretty slow, but it pays well, so Tsukikage isn't one to complain. It's from early evening to late morning, so when he comes home he expects the two wendigos around the house, drawing the blinds and ready to shoo away the day. However, as he climbs through the window, his very instincts say something is wrong, and he walks out into the living room to see Reira right away.

He has several trained eyes, so as soon as he scuttles in, he knows something is wrong. Without delay, the spider finds himself kneeling in front of Reira. Something bad has happened...]

Reira-dono... What's wrong? What happened?

The man looks frantically around for Reira, expertly evading anyone who may have stopped his entry, and he almost cries in relief himself when he sees the boy. He hurries towards him, but when he is close, he slows down. He can see that expression and...]

According to my master, it is a name for someone who has proven their loyalty time and time again for their god. From what I've gathered, they have no real purpose or authority. It is more a title and showing that this person has a god's favour.

If the gods are smart and know strategy, they would not put them as conduits. Although they have more powers than most and are more difficult to kill, placing them as conduits when they are known members makes them very vulnerable. The names of all three priests for both fog and fourth are known to everyone. Likely they're scapegoats letting the real culprits go unseen.

Though that's just a theory.

When death is considered trivial by the general public, there's no reason for a conduit to give themselves up. Someone with this sort of warping power would be loyal to the god, and not likely give up the game. You may get their friends stepping in, but honestly, I doubt it.
