I understand. [Honestly, he loves the long-winded speech. It was such an old-fashioned way of doing things. He's prone to that himself.] If you are unfamiliar with all forms of work and have no preferences, then I'll have you work in one of my smaller businesses. [It still feels weird for him to say that.]
How are your people-skills then, Mr. Joestar?
no subject
By people skills, do you perhaps ask about how I socialize with others? [he asks.] I cannot of course speak for all individuals and how they respond...but at the very least, I strive to remain courteous regardless of whom I'm speaking to. Everyone, ultimately, deserves some respect until it is proven unwarranted.
[Like with Zombies. Zombies like to prove Very Fast that it's not warranted, and that's about when anvils get thrown.]

Tsukikage gives a nod and listens.]
That's a very good approach, especially to customer service. Politeness, helpfulness are all essential to interacting with customers. And how are you with handiwork? Crafting things if you have instructions, I mean?

I do not have much to draw on from past experience, but... [he trails off only briefly into thought, genuinely wishing to compare the memory.] At the very least, I was once able to improvise a hang glider to escape from harm with my fellows. It didn't require much instruction of course, [he chuckles- because Of Course it wouldn't, right, it's a hamon hang glider-] But I have little doubt that the efforts elsewhere could be worth a try.

Have you ever had experience with make up? Applying it or making it?
no subject
Not that it's going...Poorly exactly, it's just a question he didn't at all expect. Appl-
What] Pardon?
[He can't help himself. Oh right, he also said...making?] I've not done much chemistry, if that's what you're inquiring...I did briefly do some studies on poisons, though that was for quite a more immediate matter... [Which is to say, someone was Dying,]
Is there a particular reason you ask?

[Tsukikage shakes his head, stopping himself from going off topic.]
For your first job, I feel like we shouldn't toss you in a big crowd like working here at the theatre. Rather, I'd like you to work at my makeup store, Viper Cosmetics. We take naga scales Nagas don't want anymore and make beauty products out of them. The last owner was a naga you see. I have plenty of scales but no one to help me make and sell the product. I ask because I wanted to see if you'd be interested or would like to try.

...
Naga are...probably snake creatures, he thinks quietly. He's pretty sure he saw mention of those in books...] Oh- I see...at the very least, I'm open to learning, [Jonathan determines easily.] If you've the patience to train me, then I would gladly take up the role.
[Grinding scales seems like a physically demanding task, so he's at least certain he can have...Some skill for it. He's pretty strong.]
no subject
Sounds excellent. I don't expect you to give customers advice or help them use test samples. Just mind the cash register and work in the back. We can do a full training course on... does Monday suit you?
[Tsukikage's really become a proper business man in the last year.]
no subject
[Jonathan has not adjusted to work bartering...at all.]
no subject
Do you have free time tomorrow? If so, we could start your training there. Tomorrow the store is usually fairly quiet so we can take advantage of that.

I guess we drop this here
[And they can shake on it. Thank God... he has more help around the shop.]
