Anyway...
"I suppose so. I am a ninja and that's already interesting to most people," Tsukikage chuckles. "I'd love to give you more but... well... I don't even know where to start? What would you like to know?"
Conversations were hard. Tsukikage hopes that Chikage would be here soon. At least talking about Chikage made things feel less awkward to him...

There's a lot, that much he's certain of.
"Perhaps about your home, first? The... one before here, that is. Admittedly, I know little about Japan itself and the more I hear about it, the more curious I become." If they ever manage to find a way out, he's adding it to the list of places to visit, after all.

"Of course. It seems like so long ago since I've seen home. Before I was taken to Ryslig, I was already away for... work." That's a nice way of saying you were fighting an interdimensional war, Tsukikage.
"Is your world acquainted with Duel Monsters? Because if it's not, it'll be very different to my own home. Every Japan without it has never heard of Maiami City, which is a large city off the coast. It's the closest city to my village, you see. Which is very much the opposite of a city..."

"Duel... Monsters? I cannot say that I have ever heard of such a thing." He's literally from the Victorian era, Tsukikage, was Duel Monsters even a thing back then in your world? Who knows, honestly.
But he's listening intently and taking down every little bit of this that he can, because of course he does, he's absolutely an informational sponge. Always has been and always will be, whether he wants to or not. "Maiami City and on the coast..." Hm, interesting. "And your village?"

Tsukikage gives a long sigh. He lets the cup down from where he was resting it in his hands and he gives a very, very long sigh.
"When you die in Ryslig, you do not necessarily stay dead, but when you die around three times or so you start losing memories. A lot of memories of my childhood and my village have been taken from me but I remember some aspects of it," Tsukikage admits honestly. "It's a small, traditional place. Wooden buildings, paper sliding doors, and beautiful gardens. There were wide open fields, cliffs and forests surrounding it, keeping it safe from strangers and providing ninjas ideal training grounds for our craft. It really was small and peaceful. We were entirely self-sufficient."
