It shames me to say this, but rather frankly I have none. [He of course, explains however.] Prior to waking here, I had only recently finished obtaining my university degree in archaeology- while I could have likely utilized that toward some sort of start in a typical, foreign land...this place is so very different that all of my studies are quite irrelevant I fear.

I fully expect to be unfamiliar with the work environment of this region as such- not only is it work I have never done, but it is the work of another time entirely- one ahead of my own, for that matter.

I am more than willing to learn- but I must ask that such teaching be available. I can assure you, I will take those teachings firmly to heart, and perform any duties for the job with all that I have.

[They can get along. Compare notes. Long winded speeches, growing ever more long winded. Regardless, Jonathan nods- he has no issues working in a 'smaller' business, and if anything it feels as though that may be for the best. It will likely be easier to adjust then.]

By people skills, do you perhaps ask about how I socialize with others? [he asks.] I cannot of course speak for all individuals and how they respond...but at the very least, I strive to remain courteous regardless of whom I'm speaking to. Everyone, ultimately, deserves some respect until it is proven unwarranted.

That's a very good approach, especially to customer service. Politeness, helpfulness are all essential to interacting with customers. And how are you with handiwork? Crafting things if you have instructions, I mean?

I do not have much to draw on from past experience, but... [he trails off only briefly into thought, genuinely wishing to compare the memory.] At the very least, I was once able to improvise a hang glider to escape from harm with my fellows. It didn't require much instruction of course, [he chuckles- because Of Course it wouldn't, right, it's a hamon hang glider-] But I have little doubt that the efforts elsewhere could be worth a try.

For your first job, I feel like we shouldn't toss you in a big crowd like working here at the theatre. Rather, I'd like you to work at my makeup store, Viper Cosmetics. We take naga scales Nagas don't want anymore and make beauty products out of them. The last owner was a naga you see. I have plenty of scales but no one to help me make and sell the product. I ask because I wanted to see if you'd be interested or would like to try.

[Grinding scales seems like a physically demanding task, so he's at least certain he can have...Some skill for it. He's pretty strong.]

Sounds excellent. I don't expect you to give customers advice or help them use test samples. Just mind the cash register and work in the back. We can do a full training course on... does Monday suit you?

I do, yes. [Arguably he has nothing But time.] That sounds perfect then- I've only been in a few stores of this place, but they seem to be far more bustling than those I experienced in my own time. A quiet period seems perfect to train upward from.
